Our Mission
Our primary mission is to evangelize, educate, emancipate, empower and expand Christ's community. Here you will find a purpose to live for, people to live with, principles to live by, a profession to live out, and a power to live on!

Resurrected Life Community Church, Inc., an independent, non-denominational congregation, was established in 2002 and grew out of a home bible study that was held at the home of the Rev. Gregory Edwards and his wife Denyse upon his graduation from Drew Theological Seminary in May of 2002.

The congregation held its first official worship service on Sunday, July 28, 2002 at the Winding Brook Banquet Hall in Whitehall, PA and then subsequently met for seven years on the 2nd floor of the Scottish Rite Cathedral in the city of Allentown. The congregation quickly grew spiritually and numerically and began offering ministries aimed at the resurrection of children, youth, women and men in the church and the community.
In May of 2009 Pastor Edwards and the congregation made a bold deliberate decision to move the church’s operations and ministries to 144 N. 9th Street in Allentown, PA, the former home of the St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, and on July 5, 2009 Resurrected Life Community Church held its first worship service in its new home.  This move aligned well with the church’s mission of being a dynamic inner-city congregation focused on the resurrection of individuals and families.

As the congregation grew, it began to offer early education classes and programs to families within the community through a partnership it had formed with Divine Learning Academy and on August 6, 2010 Resurrected Life Community Church (aka Resurrected Life) purchased the former St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, as well as the church’s former parish building and an adjacent commercial parking lot.

In January 2011 the Divine Learning Academy became the Resurrected Life Children’s Academy and transitioned ownership and operation of its birth to kindergarten academic and childcare program to the church’s newly formed organization, the Resurrected Community Development Corporation. Now, as Resurrected Life Community Church is in its 11 year of ministry it has grown into one of the fastest growing churches in the region and is a seven day a week ministry employing 25 staff, and offers  different  20 plus ministries aimed at  the spiritual, emotional, and economic liberation and resurrection of men, women, children, youth and families within the community and throughout the region.
